Viva beads® are uniquely made by using a technique called caning. This 100% handmade process starts by layering calculated colors and shapes of polymer clay. Layer upon layer, strategically placed pieces come together to replicate Viva Beads® designs into a large "cane". Original canes can measure up to 5 feet long and 1.5 feet in diameter. Canes are slowly rolled down while carefully maintaining the integrity of design, then sliced and hand rolled before heading into the ovens for low temperature baking. Once these hand rolled beads have cooled, they are strung into our Viva Beads® jewelry creations. Each and every Viva Bead is truly a work of art to treasure! |
